| A first generation American of Burmese ethnicity, Vanessa graduated from UT Austin with high honors, a Bachelor of Science in Advertising, and had the distinction of being a Senior Fellow. You may have seen Vanessa's advertising images for clients such as Dell Computers, Pizza-Hut, Bank of America, FedEx Office, Frito-Lay, and Playskool. She shot George Strait's cd cover, "Twang", and continues to shoot from coast to coast, but always hurries home to Dallas, where she calls home. Vanessa started her photography career by shooting weddings, family portraits, and actor headshots. It was there where she honed her skills, learned to think quickly while shooting, and mastered how she likes to direct "real people" on set. Her ability to capture the sincerity and emotions is apparent in her advertising work and has set her work apart from others. 2006: Vanessa was a winner in the 3rd Annual Altpick Awards. Her work was also selected to be on display in the Advertising Photographers of America "Something Personal" Exhibition in San Francisco. 2008: the American Society of Media Photographers exhibited a piece of Vanessa's work in the "Transformations" show. 2009: Photo District News gave one of Vanessa's candid wedding pictures a Top Knots Award. |
